This is a wonderful time of year and one that is even more special for us here at Father Blogs Best. A couple weeks ago, I was listening to Christmas music while getting ready for work. Jessica looked at me, puzzled by the music choice. “Christmas music? Really?”
“I am in the Christmas spirit this year. More so than usual.” She asked why more this year. “Because I have the most amazing gift I could ever ask for right here,” putting my hands on her baby bump. I am grateful for the miracle that is growing in her belly.
As we grow ever closer to Evelyn being here I can’t help but think of the joy it will be this time next year. Evelyn’s first Christmas, and our first with a sweet baby girl. Jessica and I have been thinking of all the things we want to do with her next year, and future Christmases.
We plan to make sure she knows the “reason for the season.” The importance of family, and that giving is paramount throughout the holiday season. Jessica and I are excited for the next 6 weeks that will undoubtedly go by in a flash, so we can “unwrap” this beautiful, most amazing gift.
